Counselling for

Trauma

Trauma is a complex response that happens when our nervous systems get stuck in flight, flight or freeze mode. Overtime, operating in this state can have a lasting negative impact on our lives. When we work to safely process and let go of painful experiences, we can regain a sense of control in our lives. This will improve our emotional and physical health, our life satisfaction, and our relationships.

Traumatic events might be a one-time occurrence such as a car accident, sexual assault, or a natural disaster. It can also occur from longer-term exposure to experiences like childhood neglect, emotional or physical abuse, or varying forms of oppression.
